Global Positioning System / Global
Navigation Satellite System
The Global Navigation System (GNSS) in the radio
integrated the information from the Global Positioning
System (GPS) and Global Navigation Satellite
System (GLONASS) to determine the approximate
geographical location of your radio. The geographical
location is expressed as latitude and longitude or
Military Grid Reference System (MGRS) format per
request from customers.
Note
This feature is addressed as GPS across the
manual as the naming convention of the
buttons and strings remain the same as the
legacy feature of GPS.
The availability and accuracy of this location
information (and the amount of time that it takes to
calculate it) varies depending on the environment in
which you are using the GPS feature.
