When the rain sensor is securely mounted, connect its cable with the right socket of
the thermal hygro outdoor sensor.
Now the rain sensor is ready for operation. For test purposes, carefully and very
slowly pour in a slight amount of clean water into the funnel of the rain sensor. This
water quantity is now measured like normal rain. The measuring result should be dis-
played on the basis after approx. 2 minutes.
The wind sensor
First, guide the connection cable through the mount of the wind sensor. Check
whether the wind flag and the wind wheel can turn free and easily. For correct and
accurate measuring, it is important to mount the wind sensor in such a way that its
front side (marking E) points towards East-West. You can attach the wind sensor with
the enclosed screws or cable clams to a solid wall or wooden post with a diameter of
16 to 33 mm. In any case, make sure that the wind can access the wind sensor on all
sides without restriction. Then connect the connection cable with the correct socket
of the thermal hygro outdoor sensor.

Care and maintenance

Avoid extreme temperatures, vibrations and blows, which may damage the device
and lead to false measuring results.
Use a slightly damp, soft cloth to clean the display and the casing. Do not use any
solvents or abrasive cleaners, which may damage the display and the casing.
Do not immerse the basis in water!
