Considerations for a Wireless Network In planning your wireless network, you should consider the level of security required. You should also select the physical placement of your modem router in order to maximize the network speed.

For example, if your notebook computer is used to wirelessly connect to your router and you take a business trip, you can turn off the wireless portion of the router while you are traveling.
