When the kernel version upgrade using Memory Stick is failed, and the power does not turn on, there is a
possibility of recovery by writing the kernel data using the writing tool.
Required equipment
. Personal computer (PC)
(equipped with USB port and LAN port)
. Use the RS-232C cable conversion tool (URT CONNECTOR ASSY: 1-910-042-81)
. RS-232C, D-Sub 9 pin straight cable (female-female)
. USB 5 RS-232C conversion adaptor

When PC has RS-232C terminal, this is not required.

Preparation
1. Remove the top cover.
2. Set "1" of the DIP switch (S7000) on the HC board to
ON.
3. Connect PC with this unit using the serial cable.
