Some ISPs have a restriction that allows only 1 host locked by its MAC address to talk on the internet. If you change network cards, you have to call them up to change the MAC. The NetComm ATA can clone the computer’s MAC that was originally set up in this configuration.

SntP Settings Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) can be used to sync the time on the NetComm ATA. If SNTP is enabled, your ATA clock is synchronized with an Internet time server once a day. However, if you don’t have a continuous Internet connection through a cable modem or DSL modem, the automatic synchronization might not always occur.
