Does the SNMP community name match?
A
If you use an SNMP community name different
from the one stored in the machine to access the
machine from a utility, the utility will not detect the
machine. In this case, check the SNMP community
name. (See "Communication Environment Setup,"
on p. 3-10.)

Is the FTP server set correctly?
A
Perform the following to check the server status.
(For Windows, perform these from the MS-DOS
prompt.)
- Example using UNIX, where the FTP server has
the IP address: 192.168.1.195
U:>ftp 192.168.1.195
Connected to 192.168.1.195.
220 canmfs FTP server (UNIX(r) System V
Release 4.0) ready.
User (192.168.1.195:(none)): user_name
*User login
331 Password required for user_name.
