Deviation from the minimum vertical vent length can create difficulty in burner start-up and/or carboning.     WALL AND CEILING PROTECTION HORIZONTAL VENT SECTIONS: A minimum clearance of 2” all around the vent pipe on all horizontal runs to combustibles is required. Use firestop spacer W010-1799 (supplied). VERTICAL VENT SECTIONS: A minimum of 1” all around the vent pipe on all vertical runs to combustibles is required except for clearances in fireplace enclosures.

    DOOR REMOVAL Before the glass door can be removed, the optional front must be removed. The glass door is secured to the top front edge of the fi rebox with two latches. Pull the handles of the latches forward, then lift the hooks out from the slots in the door frame to release the top of the door.

    When lit for the fi rst time, the fi replace will emit a slight odor for a few hours. This is a normal temporary condition caused by the cur- ing of paints and lubricants used in the manufacturing process and will not occur again.

    PILOT BURNER ADJUSTMENT Adjust the pilot screw to provide properly sized fl ame. Turn in a clockwise direction to reduce the gas fl ow.
