Clean the transparent plastic area on top of
the inner cover.

1. Clean the plastic area.
2. Close the inner cover.
When closing the cover, be careful not to get your
fi ngers caught, as this may result in personal injury.

Clean the feeder scanning area.

1. Open the feeder.
2. Clean the feeder scanning area (thin glass strip) with a
cloth which is wrung after being dampened in water or
a mild detergent, and then wipe the area with a soft dry
cloth.

Clean the resin roller and the surrounding
area.

1. Turn the resin roller while turning the feed dial.
2. Clean the area while turning the resin roller.
3. Close the feeder.
When closing the feeder, be careful not to get your
fi ngers caught, as this may result in personal injury.

Close the feeder cover.
When closing the cover, be careful not to get your
fi ngers caught, as this may result in personal injury.

Automatic Feeder Cleaning

If your originals have black streaks or appear dirty after
scanning them through the feeder, perform an automatic
feeder cleaning for the rollers of the feeder.

Press [Adjustment/Maintenance] 
[Maintenance]  [Clean Feeder].

Place 10 sheets of blank paper into the
feeder  press [Start].
It takes approximately 20 seconds to clean the feeder.
Use normal A4 size paper.
When cleaning is complete, try scanning again.
NOTE
Feeder Cleaning cannot be performed during printing.
To cancel feeder cleaning while it is in progress, press
[Cancel].

[Maintenance]  [Clean Inside Main Unit].

Press [Start].
When cleaning is complete, try printing again.
