Improved error tolerance

Command operation support
between F65 and CA
Transmission of commands between
devices is supported, with the following
camera controls from the CCU available.
• Multi-format support: 23.98P, 24P, 25P,
29.97P, 50P, 59.94P, 100P, 119.88P
• Camera shutter control
• Camera ND filter control
• Camera image gain control
• Error status management between
camera and CA
Supply power from the CCU to the
camera
By connecting the connection cable
supplied with the unit between the F65 and
the CA4000 (with the SKC-PB40 (not
supplied) attached), you can operate the
F65 using power supplied from the CCU.
HDCU2000 and HDCU2500 are supported
for the CCU.
DC 4-pin output
Connection with unreg (12 V) 2 A voltage
(max) to general-purpose script lights and
other external devices is possible.

To use the unit, it must first be attached to
the CA4000 (with the SKC-PB40 attached)
as shown below. For details, contact your
local Sony representative.

In the mounting and removal procedures
that follow, "the unit" refers to the various
devices in their above attached state.
Notes
• To mount and operate the unit with the
F65, each connected device (i.e., F65,
CA4000, BPU4000) and optional device
must be of a compatible version.
For details, contact your local Sony
representative.
• When mounting the unit, first mount the
F65 on a tripod and secure it such that it
does not move.
For details on mounting on a tripod, refer to the
Operation Manual for the F65.
• When mounting the unit, do so in an
environment relatively free from dust,
etc.
