Attaching the Lens Hood

In bright sunlight or backlight, the lens hood will minimise lens flare and ghosting. The lens
hood cuts off excess lighting and improves the picture quality.
Check that the camera is turned off.
•
Close the flash.
•
Check the part number on the lens hood before attaching it to the lens.
•
To attach the lens hood (flower shape) that came with the 14 –45 mm/F3.5– 5.6 lens
included in the DMC-G1K/DMC-G1W
Insert the lens hood into the lens
with the short sides at the top
and bottom, and turn in the
direction of the arrow until it
stops.
A Fitting to the mark.
To attach the lens hood that came
with the 45 – 200 mm/F4.0 –5.6 lens
included in the DMC-G1W
Insert the lens hood into the
lens, and turn in the direction of
the arrow until it stops.
