Operation selection at power failure and instantaneous power failure

4.13 Operation selection at power failure and instantaneous power
failure
Purpose
At instantaneous power failure
occurrence, restart inverter without
stopping motor (general-purpose
motor control)
At instantaneous power failure
occurrence, restart inverter without
stopping motor (IPM motor control)
When undervoltage or a power
failure occurs, the inverter can be
decelerated to a stop.
4.13.1 Automatic restart after instantaneous power failure/flying start under general-purpose
motor control
(Pr. 30, Pr. 57, Pr. 58, Pr. 96, Pr. 162, Pr. 165, Pr. 298, Pr. 299, Pr. 611)
<V/F><GP MFVC>
You can restart the inverter without stopping the motor in the following cases:
 When power comes back ON after an instantaneous power failure
 When motor is coasting at start

Description
The motor starts at the starting frequency when MRS (X10)
turns ON then OFF
Restart operation is performed when MRS (X10) turns ON
then OFF
1.5K or lower ... 1s
2.2K to 7.5K .... 2s
11K and 15K.... 3s
The above times are coasting time.
Waiting time for inverter-triggered restart after an
instantaneous power failure.
No restart
Voltage starting time at restart.
Offline auto tuning is not performed
For General-purpose magnetic flux vector control
Offline auto tuning is performed without motor running (motor
constants (R1) only) (Refer to page 93)
Offline auto tuning (tuning performed without motor running)
for V/F control and automatic restart after instantaneous
power failure (with frequency search)
Frequency search only performed at the first start
Reduced voltage start only performed at the first start (no
frequency search)
Frequency search at every start
Reduced voltage start at every start (no frequency search)
Considers the rated inverter current as 100% and sets the
stall prevention operation level during restart operation.
When offline auto tuning is performed under V/F control,
frequency search gain necessary for frequency search for
automatic restart after instantaneous power failure is set as
well as the motor constants (R1).
Uses the Mitsubishi motor (SF-JR, SF-HR, SF-JRCA, SF-
HRCA) constants
Without rotation direction detection
With rotation direction detection
When Pr. 78 = 0,
With rotation direction detection
When Pr. 78 = 1, 2
Without rotation direction detection
Acceleration time to reach Pr.20 Acceleration/deceleration
reference frequency at a restart.
Acceleration time for restart is the normal acceleration time
(e.g. Pr. 7)
