Drawer feed copying (Upper drawer paper feeding)

1) Press the [START] button
o "READY" changes to "COPYING"
o Exposure lamp ON
o Scan motor ON o carriages -1 and -2 move forward
o Polygonal motor rotates in high speed
o Main motor and exit motor ON

The drum, fuser unit, developer unit and exit roller are driven.
2) Drawer paper feeding
o Main charger, developer bias and discharge LED ON. Fans are rotated in high speed. Drawer
feed clutch ON.

The pickup roller, feed roller, separation roller and transport roller start to rotate.
o Paper reaches the 1st transport sensor

The 1st transport sensor is turned ON.
o Paper reaches the registration roller.

The registration sensor is turned ON and aligning is performed.
o Drawer feed clutch OFF after a certain period of time
3) After the carriage operation:
o Registration clutch ON after a certain period of time Æ paper is transported to the transfer area.
o Copy counter operates
4) After the registration clutch is turned ON:
o Transfer charger ON after a certain period of time
o Copy counter operates
5) Completion of scanning
o Scan motor OFF
o Exposure lamp OFF
o Registration clutch OFF (after the trailing edge of the paper passed the registration roller)
o "READY (PRINTING)" is displayed
6) Paper exit
o Exit sensor detects the trailing edge of the paper
o Main charger, developer bias and discharge LED OFF
o Polygonal motor, main motor and exit motor OFF
o Drum, fuser unit and developer unit stop
o Fans return to the ready rotation
o "READY" is displayed and the equipment enters the ready mode
