Movethe tractor'sPTO (Blade Engage) into the ONposition.
Remain inthe operator's positionwith the cuttingdeckengaged for a
minimumoftwo minutes, a llowingthe underside of the cuttingdeck to
thoroughlyrinse.
Movethe tractor'sPTO (Blade Engage) intothe OFF position.

Turnthe wateroff anddetachthe hosecouplerfromthe waterport onyour
deck's surface.

dry.
Adjustments
Neverattempt to makeany adjustmentswhile the engine isrunning, e xcept
wherespecified inthe operator'smanual.
Levelingthe Deck
NOTE: Check thetractor's t irepressure before p erforming anydeck leveling
adjustments. Refer toTires i n theService section o fthismanual formore
information r egarding tirepressure.
Front ToRear
Thefront ofthe cuttingdeckissupported byastabilizerbarthatcanbeadjusted to
levelthe deck from front to rear. T hefront ofthe deckshouldbebetween1A-inch
and3/8-inchlowerthanthe rearof the deck.Adjustif necessary a sfollows:
1.
Withthe tractorparkedon afirm, levelsurface, p lace the leverforlifting the
platformonthe second to the top notch(second highestposition)androtate
the bladeasclose aspossible tothe discharge channel t hat isparallelto the
tractor.
2.
Measure t he distance fromthe front of the bladetip to thegroundandthe
rearof the bladetip to theground.The first measurement takenshould
bebetweenlg" and3/8"lessthanthe second measurement. Determine
the approximate distance necessary f orproperadjustment a ndproceed, if
necessary, to the nextstep.
3.
Locate the flangelocknut onthe front sideof the stabilizerbracket. S ee
Figure 14.
Tightenthe flangelocknut to raise the front of the deck;
Loosen the flangelocknut to lowerthe front of the deck.

Side to Side
Ifthe cuttingdeckappears to be mowingunevenly, asideto sideadjustmentcanbe
performed. A djustif necessary asfollows:
1.
With the tractorparked on afirm, levelsurface, p lacethe decklift leverin
the second from the top notch(second highestposition)androtateboth
blades sothattheyareperpendicular with the tractor.
2.
Measure t he distance fromthe outsideofthe left bladetip to theground
andthe distance from theoutsideof the right bladetip to the ground.Both
measurements takenshouldbeequal.Ifthey'renot,proceed to the next
step.
3.
Loosen, but do NOT remove, t he hexcapscrewonthe left deckhanger
bracket. S eeFigure 15.
4.
Balance t he deckbyusingawrenchto turn the adjustment g ear(found
immediately behindthe hexcapscrew just loosened) c lockwise/up or
counterclockwise/down. Thedeckisproperlybalanced whenbothbladetip
measurements takenearlierareequal.
5.
Retighten the hexcapscrewonthe left deckhangerbracket w henproper
adjustmentisachieved.
