RADIUS Server authentication
RADIUS servers allow external authentication of users by means of a remote authentication database.
The remote authentication database is maintained by a Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service
(RADIUS) server. In conjunction with Wireless User Authentication, you can use a RADIUS server data-
base to authenticate users seeking access to the wireless services, as well as the authorized user list
maintained locally within the Gateway.
If you select WPA-802.1x, the screen expands.
Configure RADIUS Server
Click the
nate RADIUS server name or IP address, if available.
❑ Alt RADIUS Server Secret: The RADIUS secret key used by this alternate server. The shared
secret should have the same characteristics as a normal password.
❑ RADIUS Server Port: The port on which the RADIUS server is listening, typically, the default 1812.
Save Changes

The Configure RADIUS Server screen appears.
Enter your RADIUS Server information in the
appropriate fields:
❑RADIUS Server Addr/Name: The default
RADIUS server name or IP address that you
want to use.
❑RADIUS Server Secret: The RADIUS secret
key used by this server. The shared secret
should have the same characteristics as a nor-
mal password.
