Your motorcycle has a maintenance-free type
battery. You do not have to check the battery
electrolyte level or add disti ll ed water. Clean the
battery terminals if they become dirty or
corroded.
Do not remove the battery cap seals. There is no
need to remove the cap when charg in g.

What to do in an emergency
If any of the fol low ing occur, immediately see
your doctor.
• Electrolyte splashes into your eyes:
.... Wash you r eyes repeatedly with cool water
for at least 15 minutes . Using water under
pressure can damage your eyes.
• Electrolyte sp lashes onto you r skin :
.... Remove affected clothing and was h your
skin thoroughly using water.

• Electrolyte splashes into your mouth:
.... Rin se mouth thoroughly with water, and
do not swallow.
A WARNING
The battery gives off explosive
hydrogen gas during normal
operation.
A spark or flame can cause the battery
to explode with enough force to kill or
seriously hurt you.
Wear protective clothing and a face
shield, or have a skilled mechanic do
the battery servicing .
