DESCRIPTION
In an effort to reduce the cost o f repair, remanufactured EGI control units were available effective July 5 ,1 9 8 9 .
These control units replace new EGI control units when replacement is necessary for the follow ing models:
'8 6 - '91 323/Proteg6, '8 6 - '90 626/M X-6, '8 8 - 9 0 929, '8 9 - '91 MPV, '9 0 - '91 M X-5 and '8 4 - '91 RX-7.
NOTE:
N ew EGI control units will NOT be available as the remanufactured unit will supersede the new. The units
must be returned in accordance with the procedures prescribed in Parts Bulletin II/48E or E-9-89. Failure to
do so w ill result in core forfeiture. These procedures include, but are not limited to, com pletion o f the "Core
Return Request" and "Core Credit Request." This information is critical to the program's success. Do not include
the bracket when returning the core. T he bracket should be used when installing the rem anufactured
control unit. Please return cores W IT H IN 7 DAYS to insure continued availability o f rem anufactured
units.
