(13) Link Bracket, Drive Block, Top Cover and R Case (Figs. 5-3-15, 5-3-16, 5-3-17)
Link Bracket (a) (Fig. 5-3-15)
1) Remove two screws [J], and then remove the link bracket.
Drive Block (b), Top Cover (c) and R Case (d) (Figs. 5-3-15, 5-3-16, 5-3-17)
2) Remove screw [D].
3) Remove two screws [J], and then remove the top frame (e).
4) Remove the top cover and top frame in the direction of the arrow.
5) Remove six screws from R case - one on top [D], one on front [D], two on rear [D], two on bottom
[A] - and then remove the drive block from R case.
Note:
Take care when handling the drive block: The drive block contains the disc drive unit, which is a
precision component. Do not subject the disc drive unit to impact, or allow dust to adhere to it:
Doing so could cause a fault.
Procedure and caution for reassembly
Be sure to attach the heat sink rubbers (f) when installing the frame: Forgetting to attach the heat
sink rubbers could cause a fault.
