Setting the Recording Quality

This setting allows you to set the recording quality between standard (STD) and long play
(LONG). Long play will give more recording time (approx. 25 min.) than standard (15 min.).
1. If you just adjusted the Remote Access menu, skip to step 2. If you haven' t adjusted
any other setting, press and release the MENU button until the screen displays
REC:
STD LONG.

2. Use the SKIP or REPEAT button or select the desired setting.
3. Press the MENU button to confirm setting and go to next setting.

Setting the Rings to Answer

This setting allows you to set the number of rings before the unit answers a call. You can
choose from 2-8 or Toll Saver (see "Toll Saver.")
1. If you just adjusted the Recording Quality menu, skip to Step 2. If you haven't adjusted
any other setting, press and release the MENU button until the screen displays SET
RINGS TO ANS.
2. Use the SKIP or REPEAT button for the desired setting (2-8, Toll Saver).
3. When finished, press the MENU button to confirm. The unit beeps.
NOTE: To skip to the next setting, press the MENU button. To exit setup,
press the FLASH/EXIT button.

Toll Saver

Toll Saver can save you the cost of a call when you access your messages from
another phone:
• If you have new messages, the unit answers after the 2nd ring.
• If you have no new messages, the unit answers after the 5th ring.
You can hang up after the 3rd ring and save the pay telephone or long distance charge.
