2.3.5 Identifying Malicious Callers (Malicious Call
Identification [MCID])
You can ask your telephone company to trace a malicious caller during a conversation or after the
caller hangs up.
You will receive information on the malicious call late on.
To request MCID
PT
During a conversation or within 10 seconds after the caller hangs up
TRANSFER
Press TRANSFER.
SLT
During a conversation or within 10 seconds after the caller hangs up
Press hookswitch.
Availability of this feature depends on the ISDN service of your telephone company.
The system is in accordance with ETS specifications below.
ETS 300 130 Malicious Call Identification (MCID) supplementary service
ETS: European Telecommunication Standard
The MCID service is only available for calls using an ISDN line. Not available during a three-
party conference call.
After dialling 737, if you hear a reorder tone or do not hear any tone, press the TRANSFER
button or the hookswitch lightly and you can try requesting this service again. If the caller
hangs up, you must try again within ten seconds.
