Recording the Left-Hand Part
Now try recording and listening to your performance of the left-hand part.
To record what the left hand is playing, we must alter part of the sequence for record-
ing the right-hand part (p.33).
¥ In Step 2 of ÒRecording the Right-Hand PartÓ, mute the left-hand part of the song by
pressing the [1] button; the buttonÕs indicator goes off. Then remove the mute on the
right-hand part by pressing the [2] button; the buttonÕs indicator will go on.
¥ In Step 4 of ÒRecording the Right-Hand PartÓ, press the [1] button.

Recording With Accompaniment

Try recording your performance using both hands to play one of the songs that feature
accompaniment. You will, of course, need to select a song that does feature accompa-
niment.
To record your performance along with accompaniment, change the following parts of
the sequence from ÒRecording the Right-Hand PartÓ (p. 33), and then proceed with the
recording.
¥ As in Step 2 of ÒRecording the Right-Hand PartÓ, mute the right- and left-hand
parts of the song by pressing the [1] and [2] buttons, turning their indicators off.
Then remove the mute on the accompaniment part by pressing the [R] button; the
buttonÕs indicator will go on.
¥ As in Step 4 of ÒRecording the Right-Hand PartÓ, press the [1] button (Note 2).
(Note 1) What you play will be recorded to any of the [1], [2], or [R] buttons that are pressed.
Only sounds from Drum Sets such as GS STANDARD and SOUND EFFECT, and
automatic accompaniment tones can be recorded to the [R] button.
(Note 2) By recording the right- hand left-hand parts of your performance separately to the [1]
and [2] buttons, you can then listen to each part individually as well.
NOTE
Selecting a different song, the following appears in the display.

If the buttons other than [Rec] button are pressed,display returus to previous screen.
Press the [Rec] button to erase the recorded data. Until you erase the recorded data,
you cannot select a different song.

A recorded song can also be deleted using the method described in ÒDeleting Recorded SongsÓ
(p.39).
