Cylinder Head Cover - Suzuki GZ250 Service Manual

CYLINDER HEAD COVER

• Pour motor oil in the oil pocket in the cylinder head.
NOTE:
Turn the crankshaft and check that all the moving parts
(e.g., cam follower, camshaft) work properly.
• Clean the mating surfaces of the cylinder head and head
cover.
• Install the dowel pins.
• Apply SUZUKI BOND N0.1215 uniformly to the mating
surface of the cylinder head cover and install it within a
few minutes.
99000-31110: SUZUKI BOND N0.1215
• Tighten the cylinder head cover bolts to the specified
torque.
Cylinder head cover bolt: 10 N ■ m (1.0 kg-m, 7.0 Ib-ft)

Install the new gasket washer to the bolt
A CAUTION
Be sure to check the valve clearance. (See pp. 2-3
and -4.)
• Install the valve timing inspection caps.
CAUTION
Use new O-rings to prevent oil leakage.
