CHAPTER 9: CLAMP UNIT

Mechanism

1. Clamp Unit Home Positioning Mechanism

The clamp unit is checked if the unit is at home position or not each time the machine power is turned ON or
the all-reset key is pressed.
The unit is judged to be at home position when the clamp sensor-A is detecting the clamp opening cam (the
clamp opening cam is at the maximum up position) and the clamp sensor-B is not detecting the actuator disc.
If the unit is not at the home position when the power is turned ON or all-reset key is pressed, the clamp
motor is activated to rotate the clamp cam is rotated to bring the position-A compensation plate and clamp
opening cam to the home position.
