Follow the instructions to contact the upgrade FTP server and to check for and download any available
software updates to your PC. You will then be shown how to upload the new software version to the
Net2Phone MAX 4.

5. Configuring Voice Messages

The Net2Phone MAX 4 employs a set of default messages for the prompts and responses you hear
when you configure the MAX through a telephone keypad.
If you wish, you can record custom voice message files (vocfile) to replace the default ones. This
section will explain that procedure.
NOTE: Before attempting to record a new voice message file, review Connecting to the MAX 4
through a serial cable, Section 2.1.2. in this Guide. For help with command-line navigation, refer
to Basic Command-line Navigation, Section 1 in your MAX 4 Command Reference Guide.
