Select a high value if your printer is in constant use. Under most circumstances, this keeps the printer ready to operate with minimum warm-up time. Select a
value between 1 and 30 minutes for power save mode if you want a balance between energy consumption and a shorter warm-up period.
The printer automatically returns to the standby mode from the power saver mode when it receives data from the computer. You can also return the printer to
the standby mode by pressing any button on the operator panel.
 
Audio Tones
Purpose:
To configure settings for tones emitted by the printer during operation or when a warning message appears.
Values:
Off* Does not emit a tone when the operator panel input is correct.
Control Panel
On
Off* Does not emit a tone when the operator panel input is incorrect.
Invalid Key
On
Off* Does not emit a tone when the printer becomes ready.
Machine Ready
On
Off* Does not emit a tone when a job is complete.
Job Completed
On
Off* Does not emit a tone when a job ends abnormally.
Fault Tone
On
Off* Does not emit a tone when a problem occurs.
Alert Tone
On
Off* Does not emit a tone when the printer runs out of paper.
Out of Paper
On
Off* Does not emit a tone when toner or some other consumable is low.
Low Toner Alert
On
Off* Does not emit a tone when the operator panel display is returned to the default settings by scrolling the loop menu.
Base Tone

Fault Time-Out
Purpose:
Specifies in seconds the amount of time the printer should cancel for a job stops abnormally. The print job is cancelled if the time-out time is exceeded.
Values:
60 sec.*
Specifies in seconds the amount of time the printer cancels for a job stops abnormally.
3-300 sec.
Off
Disables the fault timeout.
 
Time-Out
Purpose:
To specify in seconds the amount of time the printer should wait for data to arrive from the computer. The print job is cancelled if the time-out time is
exceeded.
Values:
30 sec.*
Specifies the amount of time the printer should wait for data to arrive from the computer.
5-300 sec.
Off
Disables the job timeout.
 
Panel Language
Purpose:
To determine the language of the text on the operator panel screen.
