Precautions/recommendations concerning the installation and operation of Mitsubishi Electric Mr. Slim air conditioners.
■ When used in rooms with high ceilings, it is recommended that a ceiling fan or
circulator be installed to improve air circulation and temperature variations within
the room.
■ The remote-control circuits under microprocessor control remain on at all
times whether the air conditioner is or is not in operation. For more economical
operation, it is recommended that the main power switch be turned off when the
air conditioner(s) is not used for long periods.
■ Avoid using air conditioning units in areas where they are exposed to oil or oily
smoke (cooking areas or machine shops). Oil which adheres to the heat
exchangers will cause reduced efficiency, generate mist and may damage plastic
components.

■ Avoid exposure to high-frequency waves as this may cause the microprocessor
to malfunction.
■ Rated noise levels were derived from tests in an anechoic test room. Noise
levels may therefore be greater depending on the surroundings, application,
and/or manner of installation.
■ Avoid using air conditioners in rooms with high humidity because excessive
condensation will occur as the air cools.
■ To avoid fire hazards, do not use air conditioners in areas where inflammable
gases are present.
■ Odours for buildings, cosmetics, perspiration, cigarette smoke, etc., may
accumulate in the heat exchanger and emanate from the air conditioner. This is
not indicative of mechanical trouble.
