Step 2
1) Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2) Disconnect the TP sensor coupler.
3) Check the continuity between Yellow wire and ground.
! TP sensor continuity: ∞ Ω (Infinity)
4) If OK, then measure the TP sensor resistance at the termi-
nals (between Yellow wire and Black wire).
5) Turn the throttle grip and measure the resistance.
! TP sensor resistance
Throttle valve is closed : Approx. 1.1 kΩ
Throttle valve is opened: Approx. 4.3 kΩ
6) Also, measure the TP sensor resistance at the test harness
terminals (between Blue wire and Black wire).
! TP sensor resistance: Approx. 4.66 kΩ
" 09900-25008: Multi-circuit tester set
% Tester knob indication: Resistance (Ω)
Are the continuity and resistance OK?
YES
Go to Step 3.
• Reset the TP sensor position correctly.
NO
• Replace the TP sensor with a new one.
7) After repairing the trouble, clear the DTC using SDS tool.
