Setting up the Media Renderer feature

Terminology:
The TV can be confi gured as a media renderer.
When operating as a media renderer, the TV displays
content provided by a media server. The selection
of the media is done by the media controller - the
TV does not select the input. The TV can play photo,
movie, or audio fi les when operating as a media
renderer.
Installation
You can confi gure the media renderer settings
individually, or use Installation mode to be
prompted for each setting in order.

From the PREFERENCES menu, select Media
Renderer Setup and press OK.

Press  or  to select Installation and press
OK.

Press  or  to select On and press OK.

If you want to change the device name as a
Renderer, select the Device Name fi eld and
press OK. The Software Keyboard window will
appear.

Input the Device Name by using the Software
Keyboard. To save your setting, press the BLUE
button.
Note:
The Device Name can be up to 127 characters
long.

Select Done and press OK.

If you want to limit access from unexpected
media controllers, press  or  to select On,
and then press OK.

If you want to proceed with registration of
media controllers, press  or  to select Yes
and press OK.

Press  or  to select the item you want to
accept, and press OK. A check will appear in the
box. To remove the check, press OK again.

Press  to select Done and press OK.

The Maximum Volume Setup window appears.
Press  or  to adjust to the desired volume.
Then, press OK.
Media Renderer

From the PREFERENCES menu, select Media
Renderer Setup and press OK.

Press  or  to select Media Renderer, and
then press  or  to select On or Off .
Device Name Setup
The TV's device name as a media renderer can
change. The device name can be confi rmed from
the media controller.

From the PREFERENCES menu, select Media
Renderer Setup and press OK.

Press  or  to select Device Name Setup,
and press OK.

Select the Device Name fi eld and press OK.
The Software Keyboard window will appear.

Input the Device Name by using the Software
Keyboard (- page 48). To save your setting,
press the BLUE button.
Note:
The Device Name can be up to 127 characters
long.

Select Done and press OK.
Media Controller Setup
You can limit which media controller can control
this TV.
If Access Control is enabled, only those media
controllers with a check will be allowed to control
the TV.

From the Media Renderer Setup menu, select
Media Controller Setup, and press OK.

Press  or  to select Access Control, and
then press  or  to select On.

Press  or  to select Select Media Controller
and press OK.

Press  or  to select the item you want to
accept, and press OK. A check will appear in the
box.
To remove the check, press again.
