Dirt has built up in the gap around the
browning unit or something has
become stuck.

The unit will not heat up?
Possible fault
The browning unit is not raised

The ledge is not inserted or positioned
correctly.
There has been a power outage during
operation, and the heating has been
shut off.
The unit will not retract?
Possible fault
The appliance is not sufficiently cooled
down. The residual heat indicator must
be off.
The ledge is not positioned correctly.
When retracted, the browning unit continues to move slightly upwards

An object has come between the
browning unit and the ledge
