MIDI/GPI About MIDI
This chapter explains how to transmit MIDI messages from an external device to the RIVAGE PM10
system to control its parameters, and how to send out MIDI messages from the RIVAGE PM10
system as you operate the unit.
The RIVAGE PM10 system can use MIDI to perform the following operations.
■ Program Change transmission and reception
When you recall a specific scene on the RIVAGE PM10 system, a Program Change message of the
corresponding number can be transmitted to an external device.
Conversely, the corresponding scene can be recalled when the corresponding Program Change
message is received from an external device.
■ Control Change transmission and reception
When you execute a specific fader, knob, or key operation on the RIVAGE PM10 system, the
corresponding Control Change message can be transmitted to an external device. Conversely, the
corresponding fader, knob, or key operation can be executed when Control Change messages are
received from an external device. This allows you to record fader and key operations on a MIDI
sequencer or other external device, and play them back later.
■ Receiving MMC
An MMC (MIDI Machine Control) can be received on the system. This can be used to control the 2-
track USB recorder on a control surface (CS-R10) that is set as the receiving port.
■ Receiving MIDI clock
MIDI clock can be used to set the delay time for the plug-in.
