Brake Light Timing Inspection

•

Refer to the Brake Light Switch Operation Inspection in

the Periodic Maintenance chapter.

Brake Light Timing Adjustment

•

Refer to the Brake Light Switch Operation Inspection in

the Periodic Maintenance chapter.

Switch Inspection

•

Using a hand tester, check to see that only the connec-

tions shown in the table have continuity.

○

For the switch housings and the ignition switch, refer to

the tables in the Wiring Diagram.

If the switch has an open or short, repair it or replace it

with a new one.

Special Tool - Hand Tester: 57001-1394

Rear Brake Light Switch Connections

Sidestand Switch Connections

Oil Pressure Switch Connections*

*: Engine lubrication system is in good condition.

EXCEPT THEY DIDNT GIVE THE LOBE CENTER ON THE CAM THATS HOW I DEGREE THE CAM SET MY LOBE CENTERS LIKE A Z1 900 IS 110 DEGREE LOBE CENTERS IF YOUR TURBO CHARGING IT SET 2 DEGREES BACK TO 108 WITH IGNITION TIMING TOTAL LEAD 28 DEGREES,... REALLY NEEDED LOBE CENTER POINT READINGS ON CAMSHAFTS

manual is very well laid out easy to find things and easy to follow. excelent job, kawasaki going to have to step up the zx14 wish they would of followed threw with the zx15 supercharged version except id remove the blower and install a ceramic bearing turbo of the proper size along with nitrous sprayed into the compressor side of turbo so the nitrous spins the turbo eliminateing any lag, that might encounter, any ways i got beat in a race with a brand new rr 1000 bmw he pulled me a bike length every gear we shifted must be that quick shifter plus the bmw redlines at 15,000my bike 11500 but he is only a 1000 cc but a hundred lbs lighter so it added up to about 5 or 6 bike lengths ran to 180 mph,,, i paid 4000 for my used 1400,kawi.... bmw 24,000 bucks i got more bang out of my buck im thinking but still mad i got beat karl knudson
