- Page 3 99-2004 1997-2001 CADILLAC CATERA Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit. Remove (1) Phillips head screw from inside the ashtray and remove ash- tray. (Figure A) Remove screw covers from the radio trim panel. Remove traction control and hazard switch covers.
- Page 4 99-2004 1997-2001 CADILLAC CATERA Remove (2) tabs from the top edge of the radio housing. (Figure A) DIN RADIO PROVISION Slide the DIN cage into the radio housing and secure by bending the metal locking tabs outward. (Figure A) Continue with final assembly.
- Page 5 99-2004 1996-1999 CADILLAC DEVILLE Install (4) speed clips into the sub- dash mounting positions. (Figure A) DIN RADIO PROVISION Slide the DIN cage into the radio housing and secure by bending the metal locking tabs outward. (Figure A) Continue with final assembly.
- Page 6 99-2004 FINAL ASSEMBL Y 1 Locate the factory wiring harness in the dash and make the connection as shown. Metra recomends using the proper mating adapter and making the connections as shown. (Isolate and individually tape off the ends of any unused wires to prevent electrical short circuit.)
