TAKING THE TRUCK OUT FOR A SPIN
The truck performs best on asphalt or concrete surfaces.
For best operation, never drive the truck on an uneven
surface, in water, or around moving vehicles.
CAUTION:
To avoid damage to the truck, never
drive it on a wet floor, on sand, or in mud, rain, or
snow.
The truck will stop if outside of the controller's 150 foot
range. Move within 150 feet of the truck to get moving
again.
If the truck is moving slowly and the battery is charged,
turn the truck OFF, then turn the controller OFF, and
check the wheel mechanisms for lint, thread, hair, or dust.
CB radios in use nearby can interfere with control of the
truck. If this happens, move the truck away from the CB.
CHANGING OPERATING FREQUENCY
See Figures 14 - 15.
Two sets of frequency crystals have been provided to
allow two trucks to operate within the same area. Each
truck must contain a different frequency crystal and be
used with a controller with a matching frequency.
Use the frequency crystals in the following
combinations:
Transmitter A
27.045 MHz
Transmitter B
26.995 MHz
To change the frequency crystal in the truck:
 Open and remove the battery port door.
 Remove the battery pack.
 The frequency crystal is located next to the battery
port.
 Push in on the tabs on each side of the crystal to
remove it.
 Replace with the desired frequency crystal.
NOTE: The crystal for the truck will fit in only one
direction. Make sure the grooves in the crystal are
aligned with the grooves in the crystal port.
 Push in until the crystal snaps into place.
 Reinstall the battery pack.
 Replace the battery port door.
To change the frequency crystal in the controller:
 Pull out the crystal located on the back side of the
controller.
 Insert the desired frequency crystal, making sure it is
secure.
NOTE: The crystal for the controller will fit in only one
direction. Make sure the groove in the side of the crystal is
aligned with the groove in the crystal port.
