INSTALLATION & OPERATION MANUAL for BT-1 Mini

The Merco/Savory BT-1 Mini-Conveyor

Bagel Toaster brings the advantage of

conveyor style toasting to your lower

volume needs. The Bt-1 is designed to

toast the product on the top side only.

The heater control knob and the conveyor

speed knob enable the operator to adjust

to the desired toasting requirements. The

BT-1 can produce up to 425 bagel halves

per hour. (Depending on moisture and

sugar content of product as well as color

preference).

The BT-1 Bagel Toaster is available

in 120 volt, single phase, AC only.

NOTE: Upon receipt of this unit, immediately unpack and inspect for possible concealed

shipping damage. If unit is found to be damaged, save all packing materials and contact your

delivery carrier within 5 days. Refer to "Shipping Damage Instructions" enclosed for detailed

instructions. Failure to follow these instructions will negate Merco/Savory's or your ability to

file claims and receive compensation for shipping damage.

This manual contains important safety and installation-operation instructions. Require all operators to read this

manual before using the unit. Failure to follow the instructions contained in this manual may cause injury, dam-

age to the unit, and will void the warranty.

Page 1: Before Installation
The heater control knob and the conveyor speed knob enable the operator to adjust to the desired toasting requirements. The BT-1 can produce up to 425 bagel halves per hour. (Depending on moisture and sugar content of product as well as color preference).
Page 2: Installation Instructions
Install the BT-1 in the most convenient location for ease of cleaning, maintenance and general operation. Avoid installing in locations with drafts, close proximity to grease or vapor-producing appliances or other high ambient heat equipment. Allow approximately 1” clearance on sides and back of unit for proper air circulation. Allow sufficient overhead clearance for proper heat dissipation.

When going through these transitional periods, adjust conveyor speed faster or slower accordingly. It is suggested that you set the conveyor speed at a lower number for thicker products, when toaster is cool or when toaster is on but has been idle for a period of time.

WARRANTY The BT-1 “Mini Bagel Toaster” is guaranteed to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from date of toaster purchase or 18 months from date of shipment from Merco/Savory factory, whichever comes first, provided that the equipment is utilized to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
