Your hood has a nameplate on which is stamped the model number and serial number. To
locate nameplate, remove filter and look on back wall of hood body.
Model and serial numbers are also on the Purchase Record Card which came with your hood.
Before sending in this card, please record the numbers in the space below, or get them from
nameplate described above, and record here.
Model Number
Serial Number
Please reference both these numbers in any future correspondence or product service tails
concerning your hood.

When you get your new hood . . .

Have it installed and properly grounded by a qualified installer.
~ Havethe installer showyou the location of the hoodcircuit breakeror fuse, and
mark it for easyreference.
e Dotake the time to read our suggestionsfor best use.
When using your hood . . .
Dueto the hoodfan drawing power,special caution is neededto avoid spreading
of possibleflame from the cooking surface of your range.

Never leave surface units unattended at high heat settings. Boilover causes @

smoking and greasyspillovers that may ignite and spread if ventilating hood is

used. Use surface unit heat settings recommended by manufacturer and ade- ~
quate-size utensils.

When flaming foods under the hood, turn the fan off. The fan, if operating, may &
spread the flame.

Never use your cooking appliance for warming or heating the room. The elec-
trical wiring of your rangeventilating hood may not withstand the resulting ex- W
cessive heat.

Keep hood and greasefilters clean according to instructions to maintain good $
venting and to avoid greasefires.

DO NOT USE WATERON GREASEFIRES. NEVERPICK UP A FLAMINGPAN.,~
Smotherflaming panon surface unit by covering pancompletely with well fitting ~~-

lid, cookie sheet or flat tray, and, IF YOU CAN DO SO WITHOUT GETTING

BURNED,immediately turn "OFF" the surface unit switch and ventilating hood,

if there is a dangerof being burned, wait until AFTER flame has been reduced.

Flaming greaseoutside pan can be extinguished by baking sodaor, if available,
a multi-purpose dry chemical or foam type extinguisher.
