Connecting to a telephone line and settings

Connecting a telephone line to the internal modem
It is not possible to connect the internal modem to any of the following lines.
Internal home phones
Intercoms
CAUTION
Do not use the PBX internal phone lines installed in company offices. Doing
so may lead to a fire or electric shock.
NOTE
There are cases telephone construction (or installation) work will be neces-
sary depending on the shape of the connector of the telephone line.

Select [WorldPort] in [Start] - [Programs] - [WorldPort]
Set the country the modem is to be used in, then click [OK].
CAUTION
There are cases the modem will not work properly when this setting is incorrect.
Be sure to make separate settings to connect to network services like the Internet or
to use e-mail.
NOTE
<If the modem driver has not been installed>

In [Start] - [Run], input [c:\util\drivers\modem\setup.exe], then select [OK].
