For standard communication, originate the call using CH16 (telephone mode) or CH70 (DSC
mode), then change the channel to another channel, private channel or memory channel. In
addition, weather information can be received on a weather channel.
Refer to "8.2 Channel Assignment Tables" to confirm that data transmission or
audio communication is not prohibited on the desired channel or frequency.

Communicating Using a Private Channel
At installation, up to 99 frequencies can be allocated as Private Channels.
Refer to "8.2 (5) Private Channels" for further information.
