INSTALLATION
INSTALLING THE ADAPTER
Connect the adapter to any RJ14 two-line modular jack using
the supplied four-conductor modular telephone cord.
Plug the telephone cord into the adapter's LINE jack.
Plug the remaining end of the telecord into an RJ14C modu-
lar telephone jack. If you have two separate RJ11 single-line
modular jacks, you can use a Two-Line Coupler (Cat. No.
279-401).
Your telephone connects directly to a modular telephone line
jack. If your telephone wiring does not have a modular jack,
you can update the wiring yourself or have the telephone
company update it for you.
• RadioShack stores sell jacks and adapters to convert
older wiring methods to modular wiring.
