spindle rotation time in units
of hours.
Display the total number of
times discs have been
loaded in the unit.
Alarm message in monitor video section
THE SETUP MENU SOFTWARE HAS BEEN
UPGRADED.
SET THE SETUP MENU ITEMS TO THE
DESIRED SETTINGS.
INVALID SETTINGS SELECTED IN SETUP
MENU.
SET ITEMS IN THE SETUP MENU TO THE
APPROPRIATE VALUES. CONTACT SERVICE
IF THIS ALARM APPEARS AGAIN AFTER
ABOVE PROCEDURE.
Troubleshooting

Alarms

An alarm (warning message) appears in the time data
display section when an operation is attempted which is
inappropriate for the settings on this unit or the state of the
disc. Both the alarm message and the action to take to
resolve the problem appear in the monitor video section
and on the screen of the external video monitor connected
to the unit.

ALARM
REMOTE MODE IS SELECTED.
SET REMOTE/LOCAL/NETWORK
SWITCH TO LOCAL.

When an alarm is displayed, remove the alarm cause by
following the action to take. If the alarm display does not
disappear, contact your Sony dealer.
Please note that there are some alarms which do not appear
depending on the setting of DISPLAY CONTROL
>ALARM in the setup menu (see page 78).
See "System Menu" (page 74) for more information about
setup menu operations.
You can check a history of the most recent alarms by
selecting the LAST ALARM item in the system menu.
