Emergency Override
There may come a time when it will be necessary to manually disarm your Silencer system without
using your transmitter. This condition occurs if the battery in your transmitter is low, dead or if your
transmitter becomes damaged or lost. Under these circumstances, it will be necessary to use your igni-
tion key to perform an emergency override procedure to get your vehicle operational. Identify your
Silencer model type and repeat the procedure to perform the override function. Ask your dealer for the
model number that was installed in your vehicle.
4900 Series
When this Silencer model is armed, the engine will not crank over. This is how to identify a 4900 sys-
tem. Perform the following procedure to activate the override function:
1. Turn the ignition key all the way to the "Start" position and hold it there for 10 seconds, then
turn it "Off".
2. Wait for 10 seconds.
3. Turn the ignition key back to the "Start" position and hold it there for 10 seconds then turn it
"Off".
4. Wait for 10 seconds.
5. Turn the ignition key to the "Start" position and the engine will start.
4901 Series
When this Silencer model is armed, the engine will crank over but it will not run normally. This is
how to identify a 4901 system. Perform the following procedure to activate the override function:
CAUTION: If you have a 4901 system installed, cranking the engine for more than 5 seconds may
cause the "Check Engine" light to illuminate on some vehicles. If this should occur, the vehicle bat-
tery must be disconnected for 30 seconds and then re-connected to turn off the "Check Engine"
light.
1. Turn the ignition key to the "On" position for 10 seconds then turn it "Off".
2. Wait for 10 seconds.
3. Turn the ignition key back to the "On" position for 10 seconds then turn it "Off".
4. Wait for 10 seconds.
5. Turn the ignition key to the "Start" position and the engine will start.
