Setting up the fax driver (Windows)
– Length: Specifies the length of the custom paper size according to
the selected measurement unit.
– Unit: Selects the measurement unit that specifies the size.

Specifying user authentication settings

If user authentication settings have specified on the machine, you must enter
a user name and password.
Note
If a fax is sent using a user name or password that is not registered with
the user authentication settings of the machine or if a fax is sent without
the "User Authentication" check box selected, the fax is deleted without
being authenticated by the machine.
If user authentication settings have been specified on the machine when
"Enhance Security" is set to "ON" or access locks are specified with the
software switch settings, incorrectly entering user authentication infor-
mation locks the machine so that no operation can be performed by the
corresponding user. For details on the user authentication settings and
enhanced security settings, refer to the User's Guide [Copy Operations].

If user authentication settings have not been specified on the Configure
tab, user authentication is not performed. To perform user authentication,
be sure to specify the appropriate settings under "Device Option". For
details, refer to ""Specifying the Configure tab settings" on page 3-24.
