    Nighthawk AC1750 Smart WiFi Router Connect to the Network You can connect to the router’s network through a wired or WiFi connection. If you set up your computer to use a static IP address, change the settings so that it uses Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).

    Optimize Performance You can set up the router to optimize performance for applications such as multiplayer gaming, peer-to-peer connections, or real-time communications such as instant messaging or remote assistance (a feature in Windows XP). By default, the router uses Wi-Fi Multimedia Quality of Service (WMM QoS).

For convenience, the QoS Policy table lists many common applications and online games that can benefit from QoS handling.
