    Radio Model Numbering System Radio Model Numbering System The model number, serial number, and Motorola FCC designation number are all on a label attached to the back of your radio. All GTX/GTXLTR/LTS 2000 radio models are synthesized, 8-channel units that come standard with Tone Private- Line (TPL)/Digital Private-Line (DPL) coded squelch or carrier squelch, which may be enabled/disabled on a per channel basis.

    Do not disassemble the FMRC Approved Product unit in any way that exposes the internal electrical circuits of the unit. Radios must ship from the Motorola manufacturing facility with the hazardous atmosphere capability and FM Approval label- ing. Radios will not be “upgraded” to this capability and labeled in the field.
