Error codes

If an error occurred during a transmission, an error code appears in the Job
List or in a report. Perform the operations described below.

Scan to PC operations

Error Code
EAXXXX

Cause
The IP address specified by
the recipient is incorrect.
ImageReceiver was not start-
ed.
The IP address of the recipient
is not specified correctly in the
dialog box that appears after
clicking "Receive Settings",
then "Connection Filter" in Im-
ageReceiver.
ImageReceiver is not operat-
ing correctly.
The LAN cable is not connect-
ed.
The network settings on the
computer are not specified
correctly.
The network load on the re-
cipient's computer is too high.
Too much data is being sent.
Access is blocked by the set-
ting specified for the compu-
ter's firewall (Windows
firewall) for the Internet con-
nection.
Troubleshooting
Remedy
Correct the recipient's IP address.
Start ImageReceiver.
Click "Receive Settings", then "Con-
nection Filter" in ImageReceiver, spec-
ify the correct IP address, and then
restart ImageReceiver.
Restart the computer.
Re-install IP Scanner.
Check the TCP/IP settings on the com-
puter.
Check that the LAN cable is correctly
connected.
Check the TCP/IP settings on the com-
puter.
Check that large e-mail messages are
not being received at the recipient's
computer and that large files are not
being downloaded from the Web.
If a high scanning resolution has been
specified, decrease the number of
pages scanned at one time and scan
the document again.
Change the setting specified for the
computer's firewall (Windows firewall)
for the Internet connection according
to the instructions from your network
administrator.
