  • Page 6 NOTICE: This appliance has a constantly rotating brushroll which, when left in contact with linoleum, parquet and other hard floors can damage the floor surface. Raise the height of the brushroll to the highest setting, #5. This can be done by adjusting the carpet height adjustor dial on the front of the vacuum’s base. do this each time when using this vacuum on linoleum, parquet and hard flooring.

    3. HOW TO ASSEMBLE a) Handle Assembly Tool required: Phillips screwdriver. slide the handle piece and back piece into the slots in the back of the unit. Insert the screws into the holes as indicated, and tighten with a Phillips screwdriver. (fig 3/1) fig 3/1.1 fig 3/1 slide the back piece into the slots in the lower base.

    4. HOW TO OPERATE a) Cord Release Turn the upper cord release for easy cord removal (fig. 4/1). Use the handy cord clip located on the back just below the handle. This will allow you to secure any excess cord and reduce any unnecessary risk while operating the appliance. (fig. 4/1.1) Cord Release Clip fig 4/1...
  • Page 9 On/Off Switch • Plug the cord into the electrical outlet. • Turn the vacuum on by pressing the red on/off pedal located on the lower back of the unit. d) Handle Release Pedal To release the handle, push the handle release pedal located on the lower left side of the cleaner.   • Page 10 Using the Accessories • The vacuum cleaner handle must be a in a upright and locked position in order to raise or lower the brushbar.   • Page 13 2. To clean the foam filter, separate the filter assembly by removing the foam filter from its plastic housing. (fig. 5/4) Tap the foam filter on the inside of a trash can to remove excess dust and dirt from filter. fig 5/4 3.
  • Page 14 Exhaust Filter Removal and Replacement To remove the exhaust filter, first remove the dirt container and press the red tab on the front of the exhaust cover and lift to remove. (fig. 5/7) fig 5/7 1. Press the gray tab on the exhaust filter and lift the filter out of the base of the vacuum cleaner.

    6. BELT OR BRUSHBAR: REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT Tool required: Phillips screwdriver WARNING! Moving parts can pinch and crush. Unplug cleaner before changing belt or brush. To remove the belt: Lay vacuum flat and flip the vacuum to expose the vacuum base plate located on the underside of the vacuum (fig.

(fig. 6/5) fig 6/5 With the new belt in place, pull and slide the brushbar into the underside opening, making sure that the brushbar end caps are in the correct orientation.

    Replace all seven (7) screws to secure the base plate. (fig. 8/1) 7. GENERAL MAINTENANCE WARNING! Moving parts can pinch and crush. Unplug vacuum before servicing. a) Debris Removal from the Base Plate Check to see if the dirt container is full. empty if needed. Plug the vacuum in and check to see if there is any suction at the end of the hose.

    IMPORTANT: The motor is equipped with a thermal protector. If, for any reason, the vacuum cleaner should overheat, the thermal protector will automatically turn the unit off. Should this occur, unplug the vacuum cleaner from the electrical outlet and turn off the switch. Remove the dirt container andempty it.
