FOAM INSTALLATION TIP! Your new foam will be a tight fit in the floor pocket. Over
time the foam will compress and fit in and out of the pocket with ease. For the first few
times of installation it will be helpful to start the zippers about 10" from both ends of the
floor pocket before inserting the foam. This will allow for easier closing of the zipper.
Always pull zipper cars in line or parallel to the zipper.
LYNX 1 FOAM ASSEMBLY
The foam should be inserted before inflating the boat. Remove the split ring
from the zipper and open the floor pocket. Place the BOTTOM piece into the pocket
by putting the bow end (the narrower end) into place (opposite end of the valves),
then arching the piece in center and inserting the stern end (valve end of the boat).
Flatten the piece by pressing down on the arched center. Due to the curved hull, the
piece may seem too long. It is not. Center the TOP piece on top of the BOTTOM
piece, beveled edge up. Pull the zipper closed and replace the split ring. The zipper
should be closed by hand only.
LYNX 1 FOAM PIECES:
One 13" x 54" x 2" TOP piece
One 19" x 110" x 2" BOTTOM piece (narrower at bow)
LYNX 2 FOAM ASSEMBLY
The foam should be inserted before inflating the boat. Remove the split ring and
open the floor pocket. Place the two BOTTOM END pieces into the pocket. Insert the
BOTTOM CENTER piece between the two BOTTOM END pieces by lifting one END
piece to make an arch. Press down to wedge the pieces into place. Center the TOP
piece over the BOTTOM pieces, beveled edge up. Close the zipper cars and replace
the split ring. The zipper should be closed by hand only.
LYNX 2 FOAM PIECES:
One 13" x 72" x 2" TOP piece
Two 19" x 55" x 2" BOTTOM END pieces
One 19" x 44" x 2" BOTTOM CENTER piece
