C0BA0:Elevate Mechanism malfunctions

A. Detection timing
Malfunction code
The Exit Tray Home Position Sensor (PI9-FN) is not blocked even after the lapse of
a given period of time after the tray has started moving up.

An encoder clock input is not detected within a given period of time during opera-
tion of the tray.
B. Action
(1) Upper Limit Sensor
Shift Upper Limit Sensor (PI15-FN)

Check the sensor connectors for proper

connection, and correct as necessary.

(2) Finisher Control Board

Shift Motor (M6-FN)
Step
Check the motor and sensor connectors
1 for proper connection, and correct as
necessary.
Check the connector of motor for proper
2 drive coupling, and correct as neces-
sary.

4 PI17-FN I/O sensor check
M6-FN operation check when the Power

Switch is turned OFF and ON.
