- Do not try to light any appliance

- Immediately call your gas supplier from a
neighbor's phone. Follow the gas supplier's
instructions.
- If you cannot reach your gas supplier, call
the fire department.
• Installation and service must be performed by
a qualified installer, service agency, or the gas
supplier.
This appliance may be installed as an OEM installation in
manufactured home (USA only) or mobile home and must
be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instruc-
tions and the manufactured home construction and safety
standard, Title 24 CFR, Part 3280 or Standard for Installa-
tion in Mobile Homes, CAN/CSA Z240MH.
This appliance is only for use with the type(s) of gas indi-
cated on the rating plate.

This appliance has been supplied with an integral barrier
to prevent direct contact with the fixed glass panel. DO
NOT operate the appliance with the barrier removed.
Contact your dealer or Hearth & Home Technologies if the
barrier is not present or help is needed to properly install one.
In the Commonwealth of Massachusetts installation must
be performed by a licensed plumber or gas fitter.
See Table of Contents for location of additional
Commonwealth of Massachusetts requirements.
Installation and service of this appliance should be
performed by qualified personnel. Hearth & Home
Technologies suggests NFI certified or factory-trained
professionals, or technicians supervised by an NFI
certified professional.

Before installing the fireplace, consult the local building code agency to ensure that you are in compliance with all applicable codes, including permits and inspections. In the absence of local codes, the fireplace installation must conform to the National Fuel Gas Code ANSI Z223.1 (in the United States) or the CAN/CGA- B149 Installation Codes (in Canada).

Continue Adding Vent Components To continue adding vent components in accordance with the pre-planned vent system configuration: • Ensure that each succeeding vent component is securely fitted and locked into the preceding com- ponent in the vent system.

To install support brackets for vertical runs: • Attach wall brackets to the vent pipe and secure the wall bracket to the framing members with nails or screws.

    Step 6 The Gas Supply Line • At the gas line access hole in the outer casing, use insulation to re-pack the space around the gas pipe. • The gas line should be installed by a qualified service technician. NOTE: Have the gas supply line installed in accordance with local building codes by a qualified installer ap- proved and/or licensed as required by the locality.

However, ANSI or CAN/CGA testing standards do not require hearth extensions for gas fireplace appliances. The following diagram shows the minimum vertical and corresponding maximum horizontal dimensions of fireplace mantels or other combustible projections above the top front edge of the fireplace.
