    Connecting a Communication Device If you connect a communication device (computer, modem, fax, answering machine, etc.) to the telephone line, you can connect it through this unit using the DATA jack (—Data Port). After connecting the handset and telephone line cord, connect the communication device telephone line cord to the DATA jack.

You can enter numbers to access an answering service, electronic banking service etc. When you hang up, the mode will return to pulse.

    Plugging an optional headset into the unit provides a hands-free phone conversation. Please use only a Panasonic KX-TCA80EXB headset. If an optional headset is connected to the unit, be sure to use the headset to talk with the caller. If you want to have a normal phone conversation, disconnect the headset.
