Prepare TheInstallationSite
Your counter-depthrefrigeratoris designedto be part of a built-inkitchen cabinet
system. Be sure to coordinatesite preparationand installationwith your kitchen
contractor.
Includethese minimumguidelinesin yoursite preparation:
, Choose a placenear a groundedelectricaloutlet.
, Do not use an extensioncord or an adapter plug.
, Avoid direct sunlightand closeproximityto a range, dishwasheror other
heatsource.
, Floorshould be leveland able to supporta fully loadedrefrigerator.
, The refrigerator'sIce& Water Dispenserrequireswater supply access.
, Planfor easy accessto countertops when removingfood.
, Forcompleteaccessto drawers andfreezer baskets,doorsmust be able to
fully open.
Allow the following clearancesfor ease of installation,proper air circulation,and
plumbingand electricalconnections:

By now, you have already removedyour refrigerator'sshippingcarton.Youmay
still needto use a handtruck to move itthrough closespacesor entrances.If the
refrigeratoris larger thanan entrance,considertwo options:
, Removethe entrancedoor if one exists.
, Removethe refrigeratordoors(see how in your Use& Dare Guide).
When usinga handtruck:
, Loadrefrigeratorfrom side of cabinetonly.
, Do not run retainingstraps over handles.
o Do not over-tightenretainingstraps.
, Neveruse refrigeratorhandlesto move the refrigerator.
, Removetapefrom doors only after unit is in place.

ConnectWaterSupply
What you will need:
, Access to a cold water line
with pressure of
20-100 psi.
o Copper tubing with ¼-inch
(6.4mm)OD. Lengthfor thi. +
tubing is the distancefrom
Waterline
hooku
the rearof the refrigeratorto your household
water supply line plus 7 feet (2.1 meters).
A shut-offvalvefor the connectionbetweenyour household
water lineand the refrigeratorsupply line.
Do not use a self-piereingshut-offvalve.
A compressionnut andferrule (sleeve)for thewater supply
connectionat the rearof your refrigerator.
To connectthe water supply to the rear of your refrigerator:
1 Ensurethat the refrigeratoris not pluggedin.
2 Flush the supplyline until water is clear by placingthe end of the
coppertube in a sinkor bucketand openingthe shut-offvalve.
3 Unscrewthe plasticcap from thewater valveinlet at the rear of
yourrefrigerator.Discardthe cap.
4 Slidethe brass compressionnut, then theferrule (sleeve)onto
coppertube.
5 Pushthe coppertube into water valve inletas far as itwill go
(1/4 inch).
6 Slidethe ferrule (sleeve)into valveand finger-tightenthe
compressionnut ontovalve. Tightenanotherhalf turn witha
wrench. Do not over-tighten.
7 Securethe coppertube to your refrigerator'srearpanel with a
steelclamp and screw (seeillustration).
8 Coil the excesscoppertubing (about2½ turns) behind your
refrigeratorasshown. Arrangecoiled tubing to avoid vibrationor
wear againstother surfaces.
9 Openwater supplyshut-offvalveand tighten any connections
thatleak.

4 Placein Permanent P osition
If possible,use a handtruck to positionthe refrigeratordirectly infront of
its cabinetenclosure.
Becareful not to movethe refrigerator beyondits water supply (copper
tubing)connections.
Plug in the powercord, and push the refrigeratorstraightback into
place.
5 LevelRefrigerator& Adjust Doors(ifnecessary)
Guidelines f orfinalpositioning o fyourrefrigerator:

, Allfourcomemofthecabinet m ustrestfirmlyonthefloor.
, Thecabinet s houldbelevelatthefrontandrear.

, Thesidesshould tilt X-inch(6 mm)fromfrontto back(to
ensure thatdoorscloseandsealproperly).
, Doors should alignwitheachotherandbelevel.
All oftheseconditions canbe metbyraising or lowering theadjustable f ront
rollers.
Tolevelthe cabinetusing the front rollers:

Openbothdoorsandremovethetoegrillebygentlypulling fo_vard.

Close thedoomandusea flat-blade screwdriver or 3/8-inch socket
wrenchtoraiseor lower t hefrontrollem.

Ensure bothdoomarebind-free withtheirsealstouching thecabinet
onallfoursides.
Tolevelthe doors usingthe lower binge:(somemodels)

Iftherefrigerator dooris lowerthanthefreezer d oor,raisethe

Replacethetoe grilleby fittingit into place.
