    Before Setting Oven Controls Oven Vent Location The oven vent is located under the left rear surface element (See Fig. 1). When the oven is on, warm air passes through the vent. This venting is necessary for proper air circulation in the oven and good baking results.

    Before Setting Surface Controls ELEMENT ON Indicator Lights Your range is equipped with surface control indicator lights that will glow on your range— the ELEMENT ON indicator lights (See Fig. 1). The ELEMENT ON located on the control panel and will glow when a surface element is turned ON.

    Self-Cleaning During the Self-Cleaning cycle, the outside of the range can become very hot to the touch. DO NOT leave small children unattended near the appliance. The health of some birds is extremely sensitive to the fumes given off during the Self-Cleaning cycle of any range.

    General Care & Cleaning Surface Elements and Drip Bowls Surface elements can be unplugged and removed to make cleaning the drip pans easier. The surface elements clean themselves when they are turned on. Food spilled on a hot element will burn off. Food spilled on a cool element may be cleaned with a damp cloth—any remaining soil will burn off the next time the element is used.
